Michael worked with Neil and Jenn at Abrams, Sullenberger & Associates as the firm's litigation paralegal, office manager, and, eventually, associate attorney. Michael has been a licensed attorney in Illinois since 2015, beginning his legal career as associate insurance defense counsel in personal injury and civil litigation cases in Chicago. The legal training and litigation experience he gained in Illinois are invaluable and have shaped him into the litigator he is today.

He passed the Colorado bar in 2021 and immediately began working with clients. He is passionate and talented in alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation, an area in which he earned several distinctions during law school.

Michael received his Juris Doctor with an academic emphasis in child and family law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in Chicago, IL. He received a Cali Excellence Award for his legal writing and oral argument skills for appellate motions. He was also a member of the Children’s Legal Rights Journal, where he was published for his article on opposing viewpoints. Michael spent a half-year as a clinician with the Civitas Child Law Clinic, working with prominent Chicago child law attorneys, judges, and advocates to draft legislation to clarify ambiguities in the juvenile criminal statutes. His undergraduate degree is from California State University, San Bernardino. At CSUSB, he earned a B.A. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management.

He is originally from the “City of Angels” – Los Angeles, CA. While a city boy at heart, he moved to Denver for a mix of city and nature.  In his free time, he enjoys traveling, nature hikes, and gaming, and he is a foodie for all that Denver has to offer.
